Can the card be reused? (proxy mtg cards magic proxies)

Another trick to creating a good deck is to look for ways to include cards that can be reused. This gives you the opportunity to not only use a cards ability once, but several times during the game. A card that you've undoubtedly seen played before is Think Tiuice. And, for good reason. This instant allows you to draw a card and also has flashback ability. By paying the flashback mana cost you can recast the effects of this card from your graveyard and then exile it. It's one of the most powerful drawing cards in the game because it allows you to draw two extra cards. That's why many people play with it.

Artfiil Dodge is another good example of a card that has flashback ability. It's beneficial because it renders a target creature unblockable during a turn. It can also be played one other time before exiling it. Increasing Coiifiision can also be reused. For the cost of one blue mana plus X additional mana, target player puts the top X cards of his or her libraiy into his or her graveyard. If Increasing Confusion was cast from a graveyard (through its flashback ability⁷), that player puts twice that many cards into his or her graveyard instead. This is a great way to mill a persons deck and potentially get rid of their strong cards.

An example of a creature that follows the same line of thinking as a card that can be reused is Thragtusk. It's a 5/3 creature that gives you 5 life when it enters the battlefield. However, what's even better about it is that when it leaves the battlefield, you get to put a 3/3 creature token into play. So, even if it dies, you instantly get a free 3/3 creature. How cool is that? A final powerful example of how including a card that can be reused during game play is Rancor, an enchantment that gives target creature +2/+0 and trample. VVliat's even more unique about this card is this: when Rancor is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, return Rancor to its owner's hand. As you can see, once it is played, it's almost impossible to get rid of because it can come back time after time again・

Playing cards that can be reused throughout the game is a veiy strategic way to make your deck more powerful. In fact, this strategy can give yourself a great advantage when you do so. Think about it this way, for each card you add to your deck that has can be reused, it's really like you have two copies. In a standard deck that only allows four copies of any one card, its really like you have eight copies of it. Just imagine the dominance this can give you!
